Allied World is a global insurance and reinsurance company with a European reinsurance team based in Zug, Switzerland. The Europe Treaty Division focuses on casualty treaty reinsurance products and works with brokers and clients across the continent. Assist and support the Reinsurance team with the underwriting of the European casualty treaty portfolio. Download, collate and file publicly available information for upcoming renewals. Download and distribute submissions (modelling and pricing data) for new and renewal business. Correspond with brokers regarding outstanding information pre and post binding and general correspondence. Maintain underwriting files in an orderly manner and ensure documentation is filed according to the team's prescribed filing structure. Assist underwriters in pricing model reviews and contribute to underwriting decisions and strategy. Support the underwriting team in coding reinsurance wordings into the Company's internal reinsurance system. Manage the renewal tracker at 1st January and provide post-renewal reports covering deal flow and bound contracts. Provide monthly accounting adjustments to Finance and assist with related queries. Work closely with Claims on both live and historic claims, including loss estimates, movements, settlements, and client queries. Assist with portfolio analysis to identify areas of opportunity and concern. Develop a broad understanding of the reinsurance market and the role of market participants. Recent graduate or young professional at the beginning of their career; no prior industry experience required. Strong secondary school diploma or university degree, preferably with good grades in English and Mathematics. Fluent in English with proficiency in German and/or French, both written and verbal. Interest in economics, finance, or law with an affinity for numbers and analytical thinking. Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; articulate and personable. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. High attention to detail and accuracy. Self-motivated, reliable, structured, and responsible. Appetite to work towards a professional qualification such as ACII (supported by the business). Proficient user of MS Office.
