Bank Cler AG (operating under the BKB group) is a Swiss bank with branches in Basel. The BEM (Berufseinstieg mit Matura) internship programme is an 18-month entry-level traineeship designed for candidates who have completed a Matura (gymnasial, commercial/KV/WMS, or specialised) and want to launch their career in the banking industry. The programme leads to the nationally recognised Swiss banking industry certificate (BEM) and offers three varied assignments across different areas of the bank. Customer advice in person at the counter or by phone. Carrying out account openings, payments and payment transactions. In-depth advice on loans, investments and banking products for private and corporate customers. Involvement in projects and gaining insights into digital banking solutions. Completing inter-company banking courses at CYP (Challenge Your Potential) and supplementary courses at IGKG. Participating in internal sales training and specialist courses to prepare for customer consultations and the sale of banking services. Working towards and completing the nationally recognised Swiss banking industry certificate (BEM). Completed gymnasial, commercial vocational (KV or WMS), or specialised Matura by August 2027 with good to very good results in German, Mathematics, Economics, English and French. Interest in the world of business and banking. Confident communication in German and ability to express opinions constructively. Enjoyment of advising people from diverse backgrounds and openness to approaching others. Team player who works independently and reliably, and is motivated to learn. Interest in digital trends and willingness to try out new technologies such as artificial intelligence. An 18-month traineeship with three varied assignments across bank branches in Basel.
