The Administrative Student Programme offers students in business-related disciplines the opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in an organisation at the cutting edge of global scientific research. Learn from and assist experienced professionals in your field of study. Support daily operations by preparing documents, analysing data, or helping coordinate activities. Take part in day-to-day support activities under close supervision. Collaborate and exchange ideas within an international and multidisciplinary team. Contribute to real projects and discover how your academic studies translate into meaningful professional work. You are currently enrolled as a full-time student in Administration, Communication, Finance, Human Resources, Law, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field (STEM/engineering students are not eligible). You have completed at least 18 months (3 semesters) of your studies at the time of selection. PhD students or holders are not eligible. You are required or encouraged by your university to complete a practical training period. You are a national of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State (applications from Pakistani, Lithuanian, Latvian, Cypriot, and Croatian nationals cannot currently be considered). You have a good knowledge of English or French. You possess a good understanding of office software and digital tools relevant to your studies, along with curiosity, precision, a proactive attitude, and strong communication skills suited to a multicultural environment. A monthly tax-free allowance of CHF 3,486. 30 days of paid leave per year plus 2 weeks of annual closure. Coverage under CERN's comprehensive Health Insurance scheme (contribution automatically deducted from the allowance). A family supplement to the subsistence allowance, depending on individual circumstances. Travel expenses to Geneva upon joining CERN, depending on individual circumstances. Contract duration of 4 to 12 months, with fully onsite working arrangements and 40 weekly working hours. The programme provides practical experience in an international, multicultural setting while supporting world-leading scientific research.
