Crypto Finance Group, part of Deutsche Börse Group, provides professional digital asset solutions to institutional clients. The Group comprises Crypto Finance AG, regulated by FINMA in Switzerland, offering trading, custody, and wallet services, as well as Crypto Finance (Deutschland) GmbH, regulated by BaFin in Germany. In January 2025, Crypto Finance secured a MiCAR license for the European market as one of the first providers in the EU, and is a SIX-approved crypto custodian for ETP issuers. The intern will join the platform management team in Zurich and support the day-to-day management of Crypto Finance's trading and core platforms alongside the Application Manager. This is a learning-focused, fixed-term internship of six months at the intersection of trading technology, operations, and digital assets. Platform support: help monitor trading and core banking applications and assist in logging and tracking issues. Incident support: assist the second-line team in triaging, documenting, and following up on production incidents, learning root cause analysis. Release support: help prepare and document platform releases and track change-control steps with Cloud, engineering, and delivery teams. Client onboarding support: assist with client conformance testing and maintain onboarding documentation. Configuration support: help maintain platform and application settings under supervision. Ticket and backlog hygiene: keep tickets accurate and the backlog well-organised in Jira. Testing: support test preparation and execution for platform changes. Documentation and knowledge management: maintain and improve platform documentation and the team knowledge base in Confluence. Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, finance, or a related field. Genuine interest in trading systems, financial technology, or digital assets. Basic understanding of how software systems connect and communicate (e.g. APIs; FIX and REST are a plus). Analytical, detail-oriented, and well-organised with a strong willingness to learn. Clear written and spoken communication in English. Possession of a Swiss work permit or EU/EFTA citizenship is required. Nice to have: coursework, projects, or interest in digital assets/cryptocurrencies; familiarity with Jira or Confluence; exposure to capital markets, trading, or financial-services environments; comfort working with technical documentation and structured processes. Hands-on insight into how a regulated institutional trading platform is operated and supported. Exposure to production incident management, release processes, and client onboarding in digital assets.
