The Transaction Services team within Strategy & Transactions advises buyers and sellers — ranging from SMEs to large multinational corporations and private equity firms — on M&A transactions, company valuations, due diligence, and restructuring. The team is a 40+ group of professionals from various countries, operating in a predominantly English-speaking, low-hierarchy and highly collaborative environment. Analyse financial statements, company reports, and other financial information on companies from various sectors, both independently and within teams. Contribute to drafting client deliverables in PowerPoint and Excel for senior executives and decision-makers, with increasing levels of responsibility over time. Leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance the depth, efficiency, and quality of financial analysis, helping the team generate sharper insights. Develop attention to detail while maintaining sight of the broader picture. Actively support clients in analysing and assessing information to help them make informed investment or divestment decisions and realise the added value of their M&A transactions as buyers and sellers. Motivation to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Nearing the end of a Master's degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting and/or an MBA. Previous internships or work experience in M&A, Investment Banking, Audit, Private Equity, or Finance & Control are highly appreciated. Experience in due diligence projects and/or analysis of balance sheets, cash flow statements, and income statements is an advantage. Strong Excel skills and experience handling large financial datasets (e.g. using Alteryx) are advantageous. Fluency in both English and German is mandatory; additional languages are a strong advantage. A six-month trainee position (80–100% pensum) with the potential to convert to a full-time role.
