Support the delivery of investment solutions to private banking clients through client-facing interactions, collaboration with Portfolio Managers, product specialists, Investment Counsellors, and Relationship Managers. Improve discretionary solution knowledge through permanent contact with Front Office and regular training. Demonstrate and articulate the added value of discretionary solutions within client portfolios and communicate competitive advantages. Deliver quality pre- and post-market sales assistance to RMs, ICs, current and prospective clients via meetings and conference calls. Lead efforts to integrate discretionary solutions into regular sales meetings and presentations. Write the monthly Discretionary newsletter and provide ad hoc timely market commentaries on portfolio positioning and investment choices in the context of significant market events or price fluctuations. Provide structured feedback to the Discretionary team on gaps in the offering and reporting/marketing material, and contribute ideas for improvement and streamlining. Good understanding of financial markets and instruments including equities, bonds, funds, and ETFs. Knowledge of discretionary mandates and the broad product offering of a bank. Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Visual Basic, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Aladdin, Avaloq, and Qlik Sense is an asset. Team player with a high-achieving attitude, quick to learn, and a positive mindset. Keen sense of urgency and a high level of professional and personal integrity. High level of academic education, ideally combining solid marketing skills with a financial or economics background. Fluent in English and French or German. A 6-month internship placement within HSBC Switzerland's Private Bank in Geneva, providing hands-on experience in a real working environment. Interns gain practical exposure to discretionary product management, client interactions, and investment solutions.
