The International Olympic Committee (IOC), based in Lausanne, Switzerland, is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement. A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders — including athletes, National Olympic Committees, International Federations, Organising Committees for the Olympic Games, Worldwide Olympic Partners and Olympic broadcast partners — and collaborates with public and private authorities including the United Nations. This role sits within the Olympic Solidarity department, which manages the IOC's monitoring, evaluation, research and learning (MERL) activities. Support the Impact Manager and the wider Olympic Solidarity team in implementing the monitoring, evaluation, research and learning (MERL) framework. Assist with collecting, organising, cleaning and validating quantitative and qualitative data from different programme sources. Help review datasets for inconsistencies, missing information and formatting issues, and flag potential errors for follow-up. Assist with preparing basic analyses, tables, statistics and summaries to support reporting and presentations. Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of data collection tools, trackers and documentation to support data quality and consistency. Assist with updating dashboard inputs and other visual reporting tools under guidance from the team. Support documenting changes made to datasets, file structures and working processes in a clear and organised manner. Help liaise with programme teams and other internal stakeholders to gather information and support timely delivery of MERL-related outputs. Support the identification of lessons learnt, good practices and areas for improvement while building knowledge of MERL concepts and tools. Provide support on a range of ad hoc operational and analytical tasks, including reviewing and cleaning up open grant applications and reports, and carrying out preliminary analysis of grant applications and reports. Recent graduate with a university degree or equivalent higher education qualification in a relevant field. Initial experience through studies, research projects, student jobs, internships or administrative/data support work involving structured information or datasets is an advantage. Fluency in English required; knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset. Good command of Excel or similar tools, including sorting and filtering data, using basic formulas, working with tables, removing duplicates and applying clear formatting. Good command of data visualisation tools such as Power BI. Willingness to learn MERL concepts, data processes and new digital tools through coaching, feedback and hands-on practice. Good command of standard corporate tools and ability to follow internal processes, user rules and documentation practices.
