BNP Paribas Switzerland is a leading European bank active in Geneva, Zurich, and Lugano, serving companies, institutional and private clients. Global Trade Solutions (GTS) is BNP Paribas' Trade Finance and Working Capital Management franchise within CIB - Transaction Banking. It is a global network of over 300 experts offering a wide range of tailored solutions including Traditional Trade products (trade-related guarantees, letters of credit) and Working Capital Management structures (receivable discounting, supplier financing, inventory management). The internship is based in Geneva for 6 months and requires Swiss residency at the time of starting. Participate in the elaboration of Traditional Trade transactions, working alongside Marketers, including the elaboration and review of pitches and/or RFI/RFPs. Participate in crafting memos and business green-light requests, including assessment of profitability metrics, running pricing/GRR models and seeking relevant credit and capital approvals. Support the team with various business management and project management initiatives, including preparation of ad-hoc reporting, follow-ups, tracking sheets, and minuting. Participate in internal meetings with Marketers and Coverage Officers to establish client development road maps. Participate in the operational aspects of new transactions. Join the digital community to spread best practices in the digitization of trade finance business and help GTS trade managers pitch and onboard clients on digital channel solutions. Support the organization of client events. Bachelor's degree in Banking, Economics, Finance or equivalent, currently enrolled in a Master's programme. Strong interest in the area of International Trade. Strong written and oral communication skills; fluency in English is required, French and/or German is an advantage. Positive mindset, well organized, and keen to work in an international environment. Eager to learn, fast learner, analytical and critical thinker. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote). Swiss residency required at the start of the position. Key competencies: teamwork, ability to meet deadlines, results-driven, reliability, adaptability, client focus, and strong organizational skills.
