Julius Baer is a leading Swiss private banking group dedicated to wealth management. The Central Compliance team is responsible for upholding high compliance standards and strengthening internal controls across the organisation. The Monitoring & Control Execution team focuses on second-line compliance monitoring activities, covering key risk areas such as Client Suitability and Pricing Governance, ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal requirements. Support the planning and execution of recurring compliance control activities, including sampling, data collection, and initial evidence review. Validate documentation provided by Client-Facing Units against established control criteria. Maintain accurate records in control tracking tools and ensure proper filing of test evidence. Prepare draft analyses, summaries, and presentation materials for internal reporting and management updates. Contribute to deficiency management processes by assisting in follow-ups and resolution tracking. Participate in process improvement initiatives, including automation ideas, digital tool enhancements, or policy reviews. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field. Genuine interest in financial compliance, regulatory frameworks, and private banking operations. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and PowerPoint (executive presentations). Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage timelines and multiple assignments simultaneously. Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage. Highly motivated and self-driven with a proactive mindset and attitude. A hands-on working student role within Julius Baer's Central Compliance team in Zurich, offering structured learning and practical experience in financial regulation, risk assurance, and control operations. The position provides direct exposure to second-line compliance monitoring and an excellent foundation for a future career in compliance, risk management, or financial services. The role is offered at 60–80% pensum, allowing combination with ongoing university studies.
