Zürcher Kantonalbank is one of the largest training companies in the Canton of Zurich, supporting over 420 trainees annually. The bank offers a one-year HMS (Handelsmittelschule) internship within its Corporate Functions division, giving school leavers from the cantonal commercial or economic secondary school a comprehensive introduction to professional life in a modern, large Swiss bank. The programme spans multiple specialist areas including Marketing, Event Management, Employer Branding, Young Talents, Recruiting, and Purchasing. Over the course of one year, the intern is assigned to one of several specialist areas on rotation or placement: In Marketing Communication & Campaigns, tasks include customer information management (address verification, content, dispatch), developing ideas for customer gifts, publishing content on digital and social media channels, and supporting project managers. In Marketing Conception & Planning, the intern supports marketing projects for target groups such as families and young people and coordinates marketing and communication measures. In Event Management, the intern assists in organising and conducting physical and digital events, handles enquiries independently, and performs administrative tasks. In Employer Branding, the intern helps position Zürcher Kantonalbank as an attractive employer, organises employer appearances and events, and develops ideas for digital campaigns and social media content. In the Young Talents team, the intern assists with the full trainee application process, organises and conducts events, and handles correspondence. In Recruiting, the intern supports the design and publication of job advertisements, coordinates interviews, and maintains candidate contact. In Operational Purchasing, the intern advises employees on purchasing questions, processes incoming invoices, liaises with internal stakeholders and suppliers, and takes on smaller sub-projects. In Purchasing Professional Services, Marketing & Real Estate, the intern maintains supplier contacts, prepares contracts, and conducts supplier discussions. In parallel, the intern attends inter-company courses at IGKG, including banking topic course days at CYP. Graduation from the cantonal commercial or economic secondary school (HMS/WMS) with an average grade of at least 4.65. Confident use of Microsoft Office programmes. Enthusiasm for learning and making an independent contribution. Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to bring creative ideas. Good communication skills, open-minded attitude, and enjoyment of working in a team.
