BEM Praktikum Region Zürich
About
Bank Cler AG is a Swiss bank with almost 100 years of history. "Cler" is Romansh for clear, simple, distinct — values that define how the bank operates. Bank Cler offers financial clarity in saving, payments, investments, retirement planning, and financing, advising customers both digitally via its app Zak and in person across 23 branches throughout Switzerland. The bank is known for involving its interns from day one, giving them real responsibility and close customer contact. During the 18-month BEM internship, interns rotate through three varied assignments and are actively involved in daily banking operations. Responsibilities include customer advice in person at the counter and by phone, carrying out account openings, payments and payment transactions, providing in-depth advice on loans, investments and banking products for private and corporate customers, and working on projects with insights into digital banking solutions. The internship culminates in the nationally recognised banking industry certificate (BEM). Learning locations include bank branches in Zurich, Winterthur and Schaffhausen, CYP (inter-company banking courses), IGKG (supplementary inter-company courses for commercial school graduates), and internal sales training and specialist courses. Applicants must have completed a gymnasial, commercial vocational (KV or WMS), or specialised Matura by August 2027, with good to very good results in German, Mathematics, Economics, English, and French. They should have an interest in the world of business and banking, communicate confidently in German, enjoy advising people from diverse backgrounds, and be open and approachable. The ideal candidate is a team player, works independently and reliably, is motivated to learn, and is interested in digital trends and new technologies such as artificial intelligence. Bank Cler offers an 18-month structured internship with three varied assignments, personal development opportunities, and completion of the nationally recognised BEM banking certificate. Interns benefit from exciting advancement opportunities within the group (e.g. branch management), networking events connecting interns and staff, and attractive benefits including Reka checks, sports offers, and an SBB general subscription. Interns are supported by experienced practical trainers throughout the programme. Applications are accepted until 7 August 2026; selected candidates will be invited to a Matching Day on 17 August 2026 in Basel.
