About

Deloitte is one of the world's leading professional services firms, with close to 3,000 employees across six locations in Switzerland. Operating within the Strategy, Risk and Transactions Advisory business line, the Swiss Deal Transformation and Post-Merger Integration (PMI) Team advises Swiss corporate and mid-market clients on how to generate and create value from Mergers and Acquisitions, Divestitures, and Carve-outs. The team delivers integration and separation advisory services, deploying deep functional expertise across finance, human resources, commercial, supply chain, and technology. Deloitte provides industry-specific services in Audit and Assurance, Tax and Legal, Strategy, Risk and Transactions Advisory, and Technology and Transformation, and is committed to a culture of continuous learning, feedback, and global collaboration. Design and validate AI use cases by collaborating with M&A practitioners to translate business problems into well-scoped, testable AI applications with clear success metrics and measurable outcomes. Engineer end-to-end AI solutions as a core focus, owning the technical development of generative AI tools from prompt architecture and few-shot design through evaluation frameworks, testing, and production deployment. Establish evaluation and quality standards by developing rigorous testing methodologies to assess model outputs, validate accuracy against domain expertise, and measure real-world utility with M&A subject matter experts. Optimize AI solutions for production by troubleshooting in live client engagements, refining prompts and system design based on performance data, and ensuring scalability and reliability at scale. Build reusable AI infrastructure by documenting prompt patterns, evaluation approaches, and architectural lessons learned to support rapid iteration and knowledge transfer across the practice. Collaborate closely with M&A colleagues, the Swiss AI advisory practice, and Deloitte's wider AI community to stay current on platform developments and emerging capabilities. Strong hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and generative AI in a professional or research setting; familiarity with platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar tools is essential. Demonstrated technical depth in AI including ability to design prompts, structure few-shot examples, evaluate model outputs, and iterate based on performance metrics, with an understanding of LLM behavior, limitations, and best practices. Strong problem-solving and systems thinking skills: ability to break down ambiguous business problems, design testable hypotheses, structure evaluation frameworks, and iterate methodically based on evidence. Motivated to quickly build working knowledge of M&A topics such as integration planning, separation, synergies, carve-outs, and PMO workflows to inform AI design decisions. Strong communication skills to translate between technical AI concepts and business language, articulate design trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders, and build trust through clarity. Ownership mindset with responsibility for solution quality and delivery, proactively identifying technical risks and driving tasks to completion with high standards. Strong academic background with a degree in computer science, data science, AI, machine learning, or a related quantitative field. 1 to 2 years of professional experience with AI/ML systems is an advantage. Fluent English is required; German or French is an advantage. Join a friendly, diverse, and highly motivated team at Deloitte Zurich with the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI applications in M&A advisory. Benefit from personal and professional development through on-the-job learning, mentoring, and high-quality training, as well as exposure to a wide and global professional environment. Deloitte offers a strong feedback culture, flexible and hybrid working conditions, wellbeing and parental programmes, and numerous opportunities to connect, collaborate, and learn. Working time percentage is 80 to 100%. Be part of a global network dedicated to making a meaningful difference for clients, society, and the planet.
