Euresearch is a non-profit association based in Bern, funded by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation. Its mission is to inform and advise Swiss applicants on the European Research and Innovation Programme Horizon Europe. The Network Office in Bern is seeking an intern to support intelligence gathering on innovative deeptech Swiss startups and SMEs in the context of EU Research and Innovation funding. Support the development of data-backed intelligence on Swiss start-ups and SMEs that could benefit from European funding under Horizon Europe, particularly the European Innovation Council. Conduct desk research and data management to collect, analyse, compile and visualise information from various data sources, websites, newsletters and databases. Contribute to developing targeted action plans based on gathered intelligence. Help define strategies for sourcing relevant data, approaching identified start-ups and SMEs, and identifying key multiplier organisations. Design and run surveys, support the development of communication campaigns, and interact with key stakeholders from the Swiss research and innovation ecosystem. Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical, policy, or business field. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 including Teams and Excel; experience in Power BI is an asset. Ability to work independently, take initiative and manage tasks in a structured way. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and an interest in working with data. Experience with data management, AI-based tools and CRM is an advantage. Strong interest in startups, research, technologies and innovation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a service-oriented mindset. Enjoyment of networking and working in an international environment. Fluent in English.
