The FIFA Museum in Zurich celebrates and safeguards football heritage and culture, sharing the magic of the game with the world. Through exceptional exhibitions, unique original objects, fascinating stories, multimedia and interactive experiences, and thought-provoking cultural and educational programmes, the museum serves as a lively platform for fans and visitors to connect and engage with football history.
Handling rare collection items. Electronically recording and documenting existing objects in the Museum database and possibly inventorying new objects. Data cleaning of the Object Management database according to the previously created structure. Enriching existing data sets. Assisting in collection logistics. Taking part in the design and implementation of various Museum projects.
Student of museology, documentation studies or a similar subject. Experience or training in handling rare collection items. Experience or training with documents and collections assets archiving systems, including digital asset management software. Previous training in collections management. Interest in football and football history. Interest in and appreciation for culturally and historically important objects and their management. Fluent in English and German (written and spoken); knowledge of any other FIFA language (French or Spanish) is an asset. Good computer skills and meticulous attention to detail.
A 6-month internship at the FIFA Museum in Zurich at 60-80% pensum (sourced at 80%). The role offers hands-on experience in collections management and museum documentation within a globally recognised sports and cultural organisation, with exposure to a range of museum projects and international working environment.
