Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, with offices in the US, France and Denmark, the company employs 85+ people and is rapidly growing. The Finance Automation Intern will join the Finance team at the Plan les Ouates office in Geneva, working on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 60% office presence. The role is intended for students completing a mandatory internship as part of their academic programme, requiring a tripartite internship agreement between the student, their university, and Medimaps Group. Review and document current accounting workflows and identify opportunities for automation. Map and analyse key finance processes including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, expense management, and month-end closing activities. Support the implementation and configuration of the Ledgerose accounting automation platform. Prepare and structure accounting master data, chart of accounts mappings, and customer and supplier information. Assist with data migration, validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities. Execute testing scenarios, validate automated accounting workflows, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Monitor automation performance and support troubleshooting during implementation. Assist in developing financial reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Prepare user guides, training materials, and standard operating procedures. Gather user feedback and contribute to continuous process improvements. Collaborate closely with Finance stakeholders throughout the implementation project, working directly under the VP Administration & Controlling. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree (year 3 or 4) or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering with a business focus, or a related field. The internship must be a mandatory component of the applicant's academic programme, and the university must be able to enter into a tripartite internship agreement. Strong interest in finance, technology, and business process improvement. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and comfort working with large datasets. Interest in financial systems, ERP platforms, and software implementation projects. Familiarity with Power BI, Power Query, SQL, or similar analytical tools is an advantage. Analytical and structured thinking with excellent attention to detail. Proactive, curious, and strong problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Professional working proficiency in both English and French is required. Hands-on experience in a strategic finance transformation project. Exposure to accounting automation and modern SaaS finance technology. Direct mentoring and coaching from the VP Administration & Controlling. Practical experience in financial systems implementation, business process analysis, project management, and change management.
