The team plays a critical role in enabling informed decision-making by translating complex financial data into clear, actionable intelligence for senior stakeholders, and is actively exploring how AI and advanced analytics can elevate the quality, efficiency and forward-looking nature of its reporting capabilities. Identify and evaluate opportunities to simplify, automate or enhance finance processes and reporting deliverables. Develop and prototype AI and analytics use cases, taking ideas from concept through to practical implementation. Apply modern data science techniques, including Generative AI, NLP and predictive analytics, to real business challenges. Leverage internal and external data to uncover trends, performance drivers and forward-looking insights. Build analytical datasets, data pipelines and prototypes that support scalable AI and analytics solutions. Champion responsible, governed and high-quality use of data and AI across Finance. Collaborate closely with Finance, data and technology colleagues to translate business questions into analytical approaches and clear insights. Recently completed, or close to completing, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance Analytics or a related field. Strong interest in AI, data science, business performance and ideally insurance or reinsurance. Familiarity with Generative AI, large language models (LLM), NLP or AI assistant concepts. Solid foundation in data analytics and programming, for example Python, SQL or similar tools. Ability to translate business questions into analytical approaches and clear insights. Curious, structured and proactive, with the confidence to challenge existing ways of working constructively. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Nice to haves: experience with machine learning frameworks and model development; exposure to Power BI, Palantir Foundry, copilots, chatbots or workflow automation tools. Note: non-EU/EFTA and UK citizens must provide a certificate from a Swiss university confirming that an internship is integral to their course of study.
